Littering is not funny

The snow has finally melted from my area, and as I went for my morning jog today, I saw foot after foot of litter strewn on the side of the road.  Cigarette butts, beer and soda and ice tea containers, empty cigarette packs, fast food containers, unwrapped condoms, papers, plastic bags, to name just a few.  If you can think of it, it was laying somewhere along my two mile route. How well do your neighbors know you?

This morning after I was well into my jog, I realized I had forgotten to bring any identification with me.  I typically throw some sort of ID in my pocket before I leave; usually just a business card.  I figure as long as it has my name and phone number on it, it would be easy enough for someone to determine where I live if something were to happen to me while I was getting my exercise. What’s the weirdest combination of animals you’ve eaten?

Hiking is not just for summer!

Yesterday, it was 25 degrees Fahrenheit at 1pm.  I was bundled up in silk long johns, silk socks, wool socks, warm sweat pants, a ski shirt, a sweatshirt, a down jacket, sheepskin gloves, a hat, and thermal hiking boots.  I am ALWAYS cold, even sitting in the house, so I was hoping this would be sufficient.
